Human beings are social animals, and the tenor of our social life is one of the most important influences on our mental and physical health. Without positive, durable relationships, both our minds and our bodies fall apart.
For most of us, its all about the social life and the roots all begin with college life. No doubt there are some who are socially active from the school stage.
The impact of social life has been such that you wake up in the morning and you want check your notifications.
But do you think Social Life is important? For me, Yes!
For those thinking that Social Life is not important, here’s why I feel it is important.
Life is not determined by the number of likes you get on Instagram or number of retweets or follows. But somewhere they matter. Nobody wants to be left out. Being socially active gives you that feeling of relief that “Yes, I know this” and then you know you can be the part of the conversation.
FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).
FOMO for me is “social anxiety” characterized by a continuous need to be connected with the activities of one’s friends or other people. As said earlier that nobody wants to be left out and people have this disorder which makes them very insecure. They want to be associated with almost everything and a very great example of this is Karan Johar. On his hit talk show,Koffee with Karan, the 7th season episode 3, he admitted that he has this terrible, terrible behavioural pattern called FOMO and he absolutely fears miss out on something.
And Lastly I’d like to talk about is:
I feel that when you’re surfing the social media, at times its peaceful. Social media can be a very good mood setter. A social get-together or some reunion or just hanging out can be very peaceful and as I advocate Mental Health, I feel it’s a very good thing to do to relieve yourself from either the downs or to set you up.
